About The Wise Society

What is The Wise Society?

The Wise Society is an online community that makes it easier for us to speak to you and understand your opinions on a wide range of topics. It is open to anyone who uses financial products. Whether you have a workplace pension, a portfolio of investment funds or a bank savings account (or all three!), we’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need to be a finance expert – we are here to guide you through the projects.

When you join you will be able to chat with other members – ask questions, learn or just share. We take all the views and feedback shared, making recommendations on changes and innovations that the companies we work with should consider.

All the feedback you provide is reported back anonymously - so you can chat in the confidence that comments will never be attributed to you.

About Morrisons

How it works

Contribute your experience
You will be invited to take part in a range of activities such as quick polls, discussions rooms, surveys or online workshops. Don’t worry though, you don’t need to be an expert! We’re looking for a diverse cross section of people and views – there are no right or wrong answers, and all your experiences are equally important to us.

Make your views count
You can participate as much or as little as you like, as we explore topics ranging from how we can improve communications, to brand new product ideas. We just ask that you provide honest feedback so that we can help to improve how financial services companies work with you.

Thank You
It’s your participation that will make The Wise Society a success. To thank you for your time and feedback there will be a monthly prize draw as well as other rewards for taking part in certain activities as we go.

FAQs

Through The Wise Society, members can provide feedback - your views and opinions - to help us change the financial services industry for the better. You’ll also get paid for taking part!

No. It is important to note that The Wise Society is not a place to receive financial advice nor should any comments made by fellow members be relied upon to make investment decisions. If you have any questions about your own investments or savings, we recommend talking to an independent financial adviser.

The community is open to everyone! If you are interested in joining, you simply need to complete our registration questionnaire. This provides us with some background information so we can ensure all members are invited to provide feedback on topics that are relevant to them and are likely to be of most interest.

You will be given regular opportunities to take part in activities that we think will be relevant to you. You are completely free to choose which of these you would like to take part in.

Please make sure to add The Wise Society email address support@thewisesociety.co.uk to your list of known or trusted contacts.

Members are free to leave whenever they wish. Every activity email includes an opportunity to unsubscribe from communications, and you can terminate your membership at any time by accessing your member profile.

The Wise Society is run by an independent agency called The Wisdom Council. A company called ResearchBods help us to manage the online community. Together we make up your community team.

The collective insight that members share will be used by The Wisdom Council to help the financial services industry and the companies we work with. Your individual views are kept completely anonymous. Your personal details will never be passed to anyone outside of the community team.

We are fully committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. The information you share with us will always be treated with the utmost care. More information on how we collect, use and protect your personal information can be found in our Privacy Notice.

We provide an estimated participation time for every activity so you can determine whether you have time to complete it at any stage. Generally, polls take around a minute, surveys will never take longer than 20 minutes and discussions rooms can be accessed at any time, depending on your interest.

Some activities are only accessible for a short time so we can gauge and respond to your views quickly. Other activities will be open for longer to allow you to consider your responses. If there is a set time the activities need to be completed by, we will include the closing date in the email invitations, and for longer-standing activities, we'll typically send a reminder email a few days before the closing date.

We always aim to send you surveys that are relevant to you. In some cases, there will be a number of different ways to engage with the survey or we might only be looking for a set number of responses. If we meet the response quota, we close the survey. Respondents will always be told within the first few questions if this is the case!

Other members will simply know you according to your username, which we would recommend does not include any personal details. This ensures that the community remains an open forum through which members can freely express their views and opinions.

You will need internet access to engage with The Wise Society. If you use a mobile device, charges may be applied by your network provider based on your data usage package.
